Tigris Girl Madison - Tigris Girl

Posted by on Feb 18, 2015 in About, Inspiration, Leadership, Quotes | No Comments

Who are you?
My full name is Madison Anne Olson, I’m 21 years old and I’m a hair dying addict (frequently flip from blonde to brown and back again).  I love snowboarding, wake boarding, long walks on the beach, chocolate, I love my family and puppies!
Favourite animal?
Elephant – I love how their just massive and kind of funny looking! But I also love that they have amazing memories and travel in a pack.  They love their families and always seek to protect the underdog in their group.
Best moment of your life?
I used to live in Sydney Aus, one day me and my girlfriends drove up north to a small coastal city called Newcastle.  My friend Giorgia was from this town, so she decided to take us to her favourite spot.  We parked on the side of this cliff looking over this outstretched beach, mountains, hang gliders I actually felt like I was in a movie!  Instead of walking towards the beach and away from the cliff she starts walking towards the cliff, then she climbs over the fence and yells “come on”.  Once we walked over to the cliff face we could see a small beach and that was where she was taking us.  But in order to get there you had to scale the cliff!  It was totally unsafe.  So we slowly walked down this cliff face and onto this beautiful, small hidden beach.  The water was almost clear it was so clean! The massive rolling waves were soft as they hit you and the water was warm.  We spent the whole day there and it was perfect.
Where did you go to high school?
Medway High School, Arva Ontario
What was high school like for you?
In high school I was a very confident person.  Honestly though, that confidence was only a cover up because I was actually very insecure.  Going into high school I had standards that I wanted to live by, for example not drinking before I was legal,  but because I wanted to feel accepted I gave in on a lot of my morals.
I love what Katy Perry says, “I stood for nothing so I fell for everything”.
I had and still have the greatest friends, thats one thing that hasn’t changed! I am so thankful for them, but I do wish I would have been more confident in myself and my decisions because in reality I was hiding who I wanted to be in order to be who I thought others wanted me to be.
Why are you writing this blog? / Whats your blog called?
I’m writing this blog because when I was in high school I would have loved something like this.  Someone a little older than me speaking into my life and giving me their advice.  My hope is that anyone reading my blog will draw from my experiences and create your own!
My blogs called “About that…” It’s all about anything.  Morning thoughts, quotes, experiences, funny stories, not-so-funny stories, boys, leadership, school everything really.  I wanted to keep in general so I would be able to talk about anything you girls wanted me to talk about!
Do you have any goals for 2015?
I’ve named this year “fortify”.  This year I want to strengthen the skills that I already have.
Last Comments…
“You’re becoming a women you’ve never met”, someone once said that to me and it’s stuck with me since!  But the real question is, do you want to meet the person you’re becoming?  Is that the person you want to become?
